Olympus 1GB xD-Picture Card

May have some trouble with card readers

Strengths: 1.Small and easy to store, large capacity. 2.Allows panoramic shot option with Olympus cameras 3.Compatible with Fujifilm cameras (check if your camera can use 1GB up at www.Olympusamericam.

Weakness: May have some incompatibility problems/inconsitent results when using card readers to download pictures.

I bought this card for a Fujifilm F30. No problems whatsoever. I bought a xD reader, Digital 123, in eBay which the seller claimed to be compatible up to 1GB xD cards. I bought a xD reader, Digital 123, in eBay which the seller claimed to be compatible up to 1GB xD cards. It would access some of the pictures but I could only download 1 or 2 pictures before the message. "No drive/memory detected. Please insert card." Tried it several times, at times it would not even detect the card. Other times it would download some pictures then the error message pop up.

About 2 weeks ago I bought a Fujifilm 2GB xD card. It is detected by the Digital123 xD card reader and I am able to use the card reader.

I guess it boils down to preference. If you don't mind using the cable to download pics, this card is good to go. If you prefer to use usb card readers, test the card reader for compatibility (if possible).

Slower than the smaller non-M cards

Strengths: This card does everything it claims to do.

Weakness: On my fuji F10 it takes 50% longer to write a picture to this card than my Olympus 256M card.

xDs are slower than any other type of memory card on the market and the M1GBs are slower than the smaller non-M cards so, if you really need 1GB worth of storage, you might want to consider 2 of the 512MB cards instead.

Great product

Strengths: Performs well, comes with a 6 card holder.

Weakness: None found.

I've had the opportunity to use this product for quite a while now and I have to say that I haevhad absolutely no problems with it. It performs excellently and the competitive price makes it a very good value. I would reccommend this product to anyone who needs and XD card.

Olympus C-7000 User

Strengths: The 1 GB size is wonderful. Holds almost 600 pictures at high resolution (7.2 MP).

Weakness: None so far.

We bought this card for the Olympus C-7000 Zoom. It's great to be able to snap away without having to go back and delete unwanted pictures. We were very pleased to discover the card was made in Japan.

Works Great

Strengths: Tiny but stores approximately 320 high resolution 6 megapixel pictures

Weakness: Pricy, although you can get it for less than $100 fairly easily on the internet

We got this card because our camera came with a paltry 16 Mb XD card that only held 5 pictures. Now, with this card we can store approximately 320 pictures in highest resolution. It'll be awesome to be able to take our camera with us and not worry about the card filling up. If you're looking for a solid, high memory card at a reasonable price, get this one since the equivalent Fuji cards are more...
