Product Details
Description:
One of the most important accessories for each lens you own. A lens hood provides multiple functions: it shades the lens from stray light, improving your contrast and image quality; in inclement weather, it can assist in keeping moisture or wind-blown debris off the lens; and it protects the front barrel from the inevitable impacts against walls, door frames, and other real-life obstacles. Almost all EF and TS-E lenses have a Canon lens hood engineered specifically for it. This hood is compatible with Canon lens EF 16-35/2.8L USM, Canon 17-40/4L USM, & Canon 10-22/3.5/4.5 USM.

Too expensive
Strengths: It works, That is it. If you want a lens hood for EF-S 10-22, Just get it
Weakness: Way too expensive. For a lens as expensive as EF-S 10-22, That you need to spend another $30+ for a lens hood, is simply ridiculous
Overall, It is not worth to buy it. For such a ultra-wide zoom lens, Lens hood is not really necessary. If you want to use it, pay attention to the right way to install it otherwise ignette may occur

Great Protection
It was recommended when I am photographing various events in the sun I purchase a lens hood to eliminate unwanted glare. Of course I am careful when I attach the hood. Once in place it fits very nicely.

Must get!
Strengths: Good build
Weakness: Should come with camera
I got this for my Canon EF-S 10-22mm ultra wide angle lens. I primarily bought it because I wasn't sure if my UV filter would arrive in time and I wanted something to protect the lens as the glass is huge. Since getting it, I've used it like a bit of a bumper to protect the lens from knocks when I poke around to take pics. For the price I got the hood, good protection for a much more expensive...

Hood for EF-S 10-22mm
Strengths: it fits
Weakness: price
I think it does its job of keeping stray light from creating flare on the lens. It can be installed backwards for storage. It came with a bag for the lens which makes up somewhat for the price
