Great Battery Life

Strengths: Vertical shutter release, long battery life, adds nice feel to the camera

I had a Canon Digital Rebel with battery grip for a little over a year so when I got my 20D I knew I had to get a grip. I did one or two shoots before I got my grip and didn't like how the camera felt in my hands. It feels much sturdier with the grip and I think I'm just used to it too. I've had no problems with this grip. I think it is one of the newer ones that has been fixed. I've never run...

BG-E2 Battery Grip

Strengths: Mates very well with the Canon 20D. Takes AA batteries in case of emergency.Makes camera feel more balanced especially if you use heavier lens. Vertical shutter release is most welcome.

Weakness: Would need a new case for your 20D when this is installed.

Really like this especially for the price that I paid for it - $95 at Dell. Only wish is for a vertical tripod mount but I really can't complain. Now, I'd have to look for a camera bag that would fit my 20D besides my Domke F2.

Canon BG-E2 Camera Battery Grip

Strengths: Great for taking photos. 2 batterys, 2x the life! the AA batterys as well - helps if you're traveling and you're no where near a charger. The grip feels nice and strudy. Vert shots a plus.

Weakness: I'd of LOVED to see a screw for mounting the camera vertically on a tripod. But no dice! Also, a tad bit expensive for being a simple battery holder.

If you take a lot of photos and it bothers you to go into your camera bag while on a shoot, this is a great accessory. However, it's a bit on the overpriced side. There's no other alternative to get more battery life out of your camera. The vertical shooting buttons are very useful. My ONLY complaint is that I wish there were a screw for mounting the camera in a vertical position on a tripod. The...

Canon BG-E2 Camera Battery Grip

Strengths: Easier to hold in both horizontal and vertical view, especially with longer lenses; More balanced feel; Two battery capacity; More "professional" look to the camera.

Weakness: Haven't noticed any major weaknesses.

I had battery grips with my D60 and than 10D. This time I decided not to buy a grip for my new 20D. But when I started using the camera, I realized immediately how much more comfortable grip was. I ordered mine and haven't regretted it yet. As an additional plus are revised controls which I find better then the old grip for 10D and AA-type battery adapter.

Canon BG-E2 Camera Battery Grip

Strengths: holds 2 lithium ion batteries or can take AA batteries as well

Weakness: none so far

I got this so that i can take more pictures without having to change batteries as often and because i can rotate the camera and use the extra button for taking pictures on vertical shots. definately works well for being able to hold your camera more steady on all pictures because you can hold the camera at two points where you have grips.

It's very good accessary for canon EOS 20D

Strengths: It makes up for the feeling which we get when we grip the camera. It finishs the shape of EOS 20D. It gives stabler handling of the Camera.

Weakness: It's a little bit expensive. Canon has to think about better design of this grip.

It gives me more satisfaction when I use EOS 20D. More stable taking pictures is guaranteed by this grip. I recommend you to try this. After I adapted this grip, I could get more portrait orientation of pictures. It helped me to take portrait pictures easily. Thank you.

Great Grip

Strengths: Gives better grip on both horizontal and vertical shooting. Two battery extend life.

Weakness: Expensive

Gives a a second shutter release for verticle shooting. Extra battey can extend life by as much as 1000 shots. Gives more room to hold on to for people with large hands.

Canon Battery Grip

Strengths: Lots of battery time.

Weakness: Cheap plastic body.

Fits right onto my Canon 20D. Unfortunately, it isn't the nice magnesium material that the 20D is made of. Just cheap plastic. But, this bad boy can hold two rechargeable batteries, or you can use AA batteries instead. Having the ability to use AA batteries is probably the biggest reason why I purchased this.

BG-E2 Battery Grip for Canon EOS 20D

Strengths: Textured surface. "Seamless" integration.

Weakness: None detected.

This is the second battery grip I have purchased for a Canon digital camera. The last one was for the Digital Rebel. This one is more expensive but it is for a higher grade camera. It's worth it.

BG-E2

Strengths: Provides additional vertical controls.

Weakness: Plastic. Cheaply built. Overpriced.

What can I say. It does what it does, a battery grip with vertical controls. I found it works well with smaller lens like 17-40mm, but it feels a little uncomfortable with bigger heavy lens like 70-200mm F2.8. The whole thing is made of plastic. It feels cheap in the hand, especially comparing with the 20D body which is made of magnesium alloy. It adds about 2 inches to the camera. The combo may...
