Pentax Optio M10 6 Megapixel Compact Camera

Poor quality photos overall!

Strengths: Small size, good price, 2.5 " LCD display, ease of use of the menu.

Weakness: Poor quality photos, missing sharpness in all photos, very 'grainy' especially on indoor, lower light conditions.

These conditions exist in all 3 cameras! My Nephew's has a missing pixel or 2 in the very center of the photo! It should never have left the factory like that. Unfortunately 'pixel mapping' is NOT in the menu as is in all Olympus cameras. My bottom line Olympus D435 takes much better photos than this camera. I was enticed by the Pentax name, but would never purchase one again. Do yourself a favor an don't buy a Pentax!

Compact camera with various shooting modes

Strengths: Unbeatable price, powered with AA battery

Weakness: Image quality less than expected. Date/Time stamp is very difficult to use.

This camera is much smaller than my previous Kodak DX6340 camera. But this camera can be slimmer if Pentax move the SD card slot away from battery compartment. This camera has many shooting modes, for example, food, self portrait, fire work, and landscape, that user needs to spend some time to study the manual. This is the cheapest camera you can find in its class. About date and time stamp, I've no idea. There is no option for user to choose if he/she wants to stamp date or time in the picture right after it is taken. But I think provided ACDSee software might be able to stamp date or time for you.
I give 5 stars for this Pentax M10 because of the following reasons;
1.Using 2 AA batteries
2.Large 2.5" LCD screen
3.Small size
4.Using SD card, the most popular memory card
5.Image quality is not that important to me. (I'm not the camera professional)

This camera fulfilled my need although it is not perfect.

Great camera at a great price

Strengths: Size, clarity of screen is magnificient, battery life is impeccable, Absolutely love this camera!!

Weakness: Picture quality could be a bit better i guess, some may find it to be too small,

Since it has arrived I've found this camera to be quite amazing. I love its size and make. I am a college student and carry my camera on nights on the town, parties, various memorable outings, etc...and this camera is perfect. Fits in my pocket and is amazing. Besides that, I work off of a budget and the price+battery life make this an unbeatable deal!!!

Great Camera, great price!

Strengths: Picture quality is clear & precise. Video & sound is clear. I use a memory card & it holds a ton of pictures. Small, compact & large viewing screen.

Weakness: Has a lot of red eye in the pictures, but they can be edited. Video & audio sucks up batteries quickly. You need to read the instructions to understand how to use all the features.

I'm just a family & friends picture taker, so this camera works well for me. This was an upgrade for me, as my old camera worked well, but didn't have all the great options this camera does. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, I recommend this camera!

GOOD ENTRY LEVEL DIG

Strengths: Simple, simple, simple

Weakness: better if can offer a case

it is so simple to take a good pic with this entry level digcamera, with a big 2.5 inch LCD, I should say this small guy is especially perfect for grandpa. I've used some different brands digcameras, and this one is the best. simple, big screen, even the video quality is so good .
