Olympus E330Strengths: Live View, Zuiko Lens. Weakness: Dark Viewfinder, USB 1.1, No Image Stabilizer in body of camera. A pretty decent starter digital SLR Camera. Live View function is great for composing & shooting pics. Feels good in hand as far as ergonomics are concerned. Takes in both Compact-Flash & xD cards.

Olympus E330 Scuba diving
The Olympus E330 DSLR is the first SLR camera with Live View via its 2.5-inch LCD screen. This is something that many underwater photographers, who are used to working via a display on compact cameras, have been waiting for. This is why I was very curious about actually trying out the Olympus E-330.... Top

DCRP Review: Olympus EVOLT E-330
The Olympus EVOLT E-330 is a breath of fresh air in the often stale world of consumer digital SLRs. While most new D-SLRs add things like more resolution and a larger LCD, Olympus has broken the mold and given us a camera with a live view LCD that everyone with a fixed-lens camera has been enjoying for ten years. Being a new technology, the live view feature is not without its problems, and the... TopAdvertisement

Kind of like a C-8080 on steroids...
Strengths: • Excellent resolution • Pleasing color & tonality • Decent in-camera JPEG processing • Decent high ISO noise reduction • RAW files process nicely with Olympus Master 2.0 software application
Weakness: • Tiny viewfinder • Flimsy USB port cover • Flimsy memory card access door • Flimsy battery compartment door • Unbalanced with the FL-50 flash attached • Auto WB off in some situations
For those who loved (and perhaps, at times, hated) the C-8080, the E-330, with its Live View A mode and vari-angle LCD screen, in many ways seems a lot like a greatly improved version of the C-8080: • Slow write speed made the C-8080 unusable in RAW mode; not a problem with the E-330. • EVF combined with a useless distance scale made manual focus control a joke on the C-8080. While the...
